Astro-Black Hallucination

ASTRO is Hiroshi Hasegawa's solo project. He was a founder member of C.C.C.C. which was one of the most legenday 'noise' groups in Japan.

Born in 1963, Hasegawa began his improvisation with his voice and drums. In 1990, he formed the group C.C.C.C. whose concept was improvisational mass-noise played / performed at very high volume. The group gained a legendary status with the members Mayuko Hino, Ryuichi Nagakubo, Fumio Kosakai. Hiroshi began his solo unit 'ASTRO' with analog synthesizers in 1993 as well as continuing to work with C.C.C.C.

He has played and recorded in many collaborations with other artists which have included Yamazki Maso, Kawabata Makoto, Keiji Haino, Seiichi Yamamoto, Masaya Nakahara, Reiko.A and KK Null.

His playing style is like drifting between the meditation and an awakening state with electronics. He has released over 50 recordings so far.
