Edge of October emerged after a devastating mental breakdown, and the episodes of depression that followed. These songs were written in between these episodes, when the darkness lifted, and inspiration returned. Each song explores some facet or stage of the disease that I had just passed through, and the effect that depression has had on my psyche. Ultimately, these sonic snapshots help me to accept the illness, and to express it in a way that words often fail to do.
This album was recorded over the past year, using numerous soft synths, effects, and a small amount of field recording.
